Company Description:

Burns & McDonnell is a full-service engineering, architecture, construction, environmental and consulting solutions firm. With more than 40 offices world-wide, our multidiscipline staff of more than 5,000 employee-owners includes engineers, architects, construction professionals, planners, estimators, economists, technicians and scientists, representing virtually all design disciplines. We plan, design, permit, construct, and manage facilities all over the world, with one mission in mind:Make our clients successful.

Burns & McDonnell has a longstanding history in the Twin Ports, the Iron Range and the Arrowhead Region. More than 100 years ago, our design professionals developed municipal water infrastructure solutions in the cities of Virginia and Hibbing as they prepared for the boom of the mining industry. Later, in the 1920s, engineers that would become part of our Transportation Group helped to convert the bridge in the Duluth Harbor from its former trolley configuration to the iconic lift bridge that exists today.

The Burns & McDonnell team is focused on our clients' success in every facet of the projects in which we are engaged. As a 100 percent employee-owned firm, each of us has a vested interest in the success of every project and client. More than 80 percent of our projects come from repeat clients. They know our mission is to serve them well, and they know that they are dealing with concerned owners in every aspect of our relationship.
