Starting January 2018, Lake Superior College in Duluth will offer a six-month practical nursing program for recently discharged veterans with medic training and also for active duty individuals in the medic field. It is the first practical nursing bridge program of its kind to serve veterans in Minnesota.

“This custom-designed program allows veterans with medic training to earn a practical nursing diploma in six months,” said Deb Amys, LSC’s director of nursing.

The Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs and the Minnesota Board of Nursing have approved this program for veterans.
