New rehabilitation services benefit Essentia Health's Sandstone and Hinckley-area patients

Essentia Health-Sandstone has expanded its rehabilitation services to benefit patients in the Pine County area. Now, patients can receive care in women’s health and pelvic therapy, speech language pathology, and pulmonary rehabilitation, in addition to the current cardiac rehabilitation services.

“By offering these services, we are able to get people from surrounding communities the care they want and need without requiring long commutes or lengthy wait periods,” says James Warfield, a physical therapist at Essentia who also manages rehabilitation services in Sandstone and Hinckley. “Our access to care is especially good for speech language pathology, allowing patients to schedule same day or next day appointments Monday through Friday.”
