St. Scholastica purchases Bluestone development land

The College of St. Scholastica has purchased half of the remaining land that's part of the Bluestone Commons development near the University of Minnesota Duluth.

St. Scholastica spokesman Bob Ashenmacher said Thursday that about 3.5 acres have been secured by the college, but he declined to say what the college might build or who the developer might be.

"We bought the land because it's a good investment," he said, and it affords the college several options.
