Essentia Health stroke program earns high honor

A recent recognition continues to affirm that patients suffering from a stroke are receiving the best care possible at Essentia Health-St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth, according to an award by the American Heart Association and the American Stroke Association (AHA/ASA).

The stroke program at Essentia Health-St. Mary’s Medical Center recently received the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association’s highest award. The “Get with the Guidelines-Stroke” program: “Stroke Gold Plus with Target: Stroke Honor Roll Elite Plus” award recognizes hospitals that commit to providing the most appropriate stroke treatment according to nationally recognized guidelines and the latest scientific evidence.
