Essentia Health adds emergency medicine physician

Dr. Joseph Bettendorf, and emergency medicine physician, has joined Essentia Health-St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth.

"I look forward to starting my practice in Duluth and I'm grateful for the opportunity to care for patients in this community," Dr. Bettendorf said.

Dr. Bettendorf earned a medical degree from Michigan State University in East Lansing, Mich. He completed a residency in emergency medicine at the University of Rochester School of Medicine & Dentistry in Rocherster, N.Y. He is certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine in emergency medicine.
