Essentia Health adds new hospitalist in Duluth

Dr. Oscar Quintero, a hospitalist, has joined Essentia Health-St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth.

“Working as a hospitalist allows me to care for patients with a wide variety of complex health issues, and I really enjoy that,” says Dr. Quintero.

Dr. Quintero earned a medical degree at the Universidad CES University in Antioquia, Colombia. He completed a residency in internal medicine at Geisinger Health System in Danville, Pa.

“I believe that good communication is very important in providing the best possible patient care,” says Dr. Quintero. “I spend a lot of time with each of my patients explaining their condition and treatment options.”
