Duluth-based Lion Hotel Group begins construction of Holiday Inn Express & Suite hotel in Hermantown

Duluth-based Lion Hotel Group has begun construction of a five-story, 80-room Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Hermantown. Located near the intersection of Haines Road and Mall Drive, the hotel is scheduled to open in the summer of 2016.

Twenty-four of the 80 rooms will be suites, and the hotel will feature an outdoor patio area, indoor pool, hot tub, fitness center, business center and guest laundry, as well as complimentary Wi-Fi, breakfast and shuttle service. A 24-hour market will be available for guests to purchase beverages and snacks.

To accommodate air travelers using the nearby Duluth International Airport, the hotel will have ample parking for overnight and Park & Fly guests, while also providing space for larger vehicles and trailers with extra-wide pull-through lanes.
