National Bank of Commerce acquires new building

Wednesday, August 05, 2015

National Bank of Commerce announced Friday that it has purchased the building at 3631 Tower Ave. in Superior to serve as its Operations Center.

The Superior-based bank’s deposit operations and information technology teams will work out of the building. The building previously housed Northern Bridges Family Care.

Of NBC’s 120 full-time local employees, 16 will work at the new Operations Center. The move ensures that current and future jobs in these departments will be kept locally, CEO Steve Burgess said. "This is just an example of what really differentiates us from the big banks,” Burgess said in a prepared statement. “For over 80 years we’ve been investing in this community and the surrounding region. With the purchase of 3631, we’re choosing to grow here; to keep our jobs here; to make more possible here.”
