Duluth News Tribune staff honored with statewide Page One Awards

The Duluth News Tribune received several first-place honors in the 2015 Page One Awards hosted by the Society of Professional Journalists Tuesday night at the Commons Hotel in Minneapolis.

Competing in the small-newspaper division (circulations under 50,000), the News Tribune won the following awards:

 First place, Spot News, Tom Olsen, Brady Slater, Jana Hollingsworth (reporting) and Addie Bergstrom (page design) for coverage of a fatal stabbing at a West Duluth grocery store.

. First place, Feature, Brady Slater for a story on the first anniversary of the collision of two planes carrying skydivers over Superior.
