Essentia announces staff appointments

Dr. Enoch Lowe, an obstetrician and gynecologist, has joined the Essentia Health-Virginia Medical Arts Clinic in Virginia. Dr. Lowe has been caring for patients in Virginia on a part-time basis since August. He earned a medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia and completed residencies in obstetrics and gynecology at both the Howard University Hospital in Washington, D.C., and Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas. He is certified by the American Board of Medical Specialties in obstetrics and gynecology.

Nurse Practitioner Sara Luoma has joined the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department at the Essentia Health-Virginia Medical Arts Clinic in Virginia. She has worked for nine years as a labor and delivery nurse at Essentia Health-Virginia. Luoma earned a master’s degree in nursing from the University of Cincinnati in Cincinnati. She is certified as a women’s health nurse practitioner by the National Certification Corporation.

Physician Assistant Nicole Marr has joined the Cardiothoracic Surgery Department at the Essentia Health-Duluth Clinic. Marr will work in collaboration with the cardiology team at the Essentia Health St. Mary’s-Heart and Vascular Center. She earned a Master of Clinical Medical Science degree and Physician Assistant Certificate from Barry University in Miami Shores, Fl. She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Marr will care for patients who suffer from diseases or injuries of organs within the chest cavity, mainly the heart and lungs.
