New APEX Website is Live

An important milestone for APEX in 2016 was updating, refreshing and refocusing the website. Through the hard work of the APEX team, partners and investor-members, the new website launched on schedule in early November. The new website has many key features to help guide visitors through the APEX region’s highlights, including a regional mapping tool and interactive modules.

“One key objective in redeveloping the site was to showcase and present a professional economic development portal, with the ability to interact in a variety of ways with each unique visitor,” stated Tamara Lowney, APEX Business Developer. Lowney led the website project for APEX.

APEX worked with Golden Shovel, an economic development-focused firm, to create the dynamic, mobile responsive website. In addition, APEX worked with and would like to thank the following investor-members:

• Kris Olberg with Sisu Healthcare IT Solutions and Pat Malley with Consolidated Communications for their extensive assistance and insight reviewing proposals and interviewing potential website development firms;
• Lisa Bodine with Giant Voices and her team for their excellent support through content development and graphic design support;
• Investor-members Itasca Economic Development Corporation, Minnesota Power, Duluth Port Authority, Duluth Area Chamber of Commerce, and the Duluth Airport Authority for providing a variety of images; and
• Partners who also provided images: Aitkin Growth, City of Cohasset, City of Nashwuak, City of Cloquet, Lake County, Bayfield County, Hibbing Regional Airport and the City of Grand Rapids
