UMD Center for Economic Development and Minnesota SBDC help businesses in ‘iron impacted’ communities

Businesses on Minnesota’s Iron Range that have been impacted by recent changes in the area’s “iron economy” are getting some help, thanks to a $100,000 grant secured by the UMD Center for Economic Development (CED) as part of the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Portable Assistance Project.
While the Portable Assistance Project has been in existence for several years, this is the first time such a grant has been awarded in Minnesota.
