Duluth, MN – May 4, 2017
Chippewa County-Montevideo Hospital (CCMH) is pleased to announce their partnership with Sisu Healthcare IT Solutions (Sisu) and MEDITECH to implement the MEDITECH 6.1x electronic health record (EHR) platform to improve the integration between clinic and hospital patient care and health information management tasks.
CCMH is an independent, 25-bed critical access hospital in western Minnesota with a new main clinic facility and three satellites servicing patients from birthing through geriatrics. Specialties include surgery, cardiology, orthopedics, and others. A variety of post-acute services are also available.
“Sisu will work with the hospital and MEDITECH using MEDITECH’s READY approach to go beyond just upgrading the software. Improved integration over the continuum of patient care, enhanced financial management and streamlined workflow opportunities are key goals. In addition to the standard READY program, Sisu will also provide dedicated staff to work directly with the hospital staff to design and build the system,” says Scott Lee, CEO of Sisu.
“Both Sisu and MEDITECH bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to providers like ours,” says Mark Paulson, CEO of CCMH. “Sisu has been committed to building a strong relationship and it shows through the positive experiences our staff have had, and we look forward to making that foundation even stronger."
The MEDITECH 6.1x platform combines new web-based tools with improved user interface and mobility to make the care staff more efficient. “Web-based technology makes it possible for the EHR to go everywhere the patient goes. Care staff can access the patient’s data from mobile devices. In addition, the integrated patient record incorporates data from all care environments including the clinic, emergency room, hospital, post-acute settings and the home,” adds Kris Olberg, CIO of Sisu.
Securing this contract represents another major win in a drive to expand Sisu's client base in the healthcare provider segment with a focus on community and rural healthcare organizations, including critical access hospitals.
