St. Luke’s Mariner Medical Clinic deemed ‘dementia friendly’

St. Luke’s Mariner Medical Clinic is happy to share it has been named a ‘dementia friendly’ environment.

The designation was made after staff at St. Luke’s Mariner Medical Clinic took part in training that is part of the Dementia Friendly Community Initiative of Superior. This effort is part of an initiative from the Caregiver Coalition of Douglas County. The group has been working to educate local businesses on how to create a community that shows a high level of public awareness and understanding of people with dementia.\
