In Case You Missed It: July Board Meeting Recap

On Thursday, July 6, 2017, APEX hosted the Board of Directors and investor-member meeting at the recently remodeled Holiday Inn & Suites Lyric Conference Center. The interactive meeting focused on talent recruitment and human resources – one of the key critical business areas identified by APEX membership to focus on in 2017.

Several human resources professionals led investor-members in small group discussions and provided advice based on their specific experiences:

• Andrea Chartier with the College of St. Scholastica
• Mary Ferguson with Essentia Health
• Arik Forsman with Minnesota Power
• Jeanne Kucera with maurices
• Joe Warner with Aimclear

APEX has been an advocate of hiring and promoting interns within the organization for nearly 10 years. For the past four years, APEX has invited investor-members to bring their interns to the July Board meeting. At this meeting, the seven interns actively participated in roundtable discussions regarding talent recruitment and retention.
