maurices sales rise over holidays

Duluth-based retailer maurices saw holiday sales rise 2 percent over the year before, parent company Ascena Retail Group announced Monday. Across all its brands, which also include Dressbarn, Ann Taylor and Loft, Ascena sales were up 3 percent between Nov. 17 and New Year’s Day.
“We are pleased with top-line trends coming out of holiday, and remain focused on building upon this momentum as we head into the spring season,” Ascena CEO David Jaffe said in a news release.
