Essentia Health St. Mary’s Hospital-Superior designated Level IV Trauma Center

Essentia Health St. Mary’s Hospital-Superior has been designated as a Level IV trauma center by the Wisconsin Department of Health Services. Level IV facilities provide stabilization and advanced trauma life support before patient transfer to a Level I or II facility.

The designation indicates St. Mary’s is providing the best possible treatment to trauma patients.
