Duluth City Council approves St. Luke's project

St. Luke’s hospital may now move ahead with plans to relocate and expand its emergency room, as well as its catheterization lab.
By a 6-2 vote Monday night the Duluth City Council upheld a Planning Commission decision to approve the project, despite objections raised by neighbors concerned about noise from a helipad that would be relocated as part of the $36 million undertaking.
