LSC Raises Awareness about Cybersecurity Careers

Lake Superior College held a workshop Friday to increase awareness about the many jobs available in the cybersecurity field.

The event was free and open to anyone. The U.S. Department of Defense sponsored the workshop which was led the LSC Computer Information Systems department.

CSI instructor Vickie McLain said, “Unfortunately, right now, there is a huge need for cyber security all over the world. And there’s no way that we can even catch up to the amount of people that we need.”
